The Hussa Brewer dates back to the 1860s & is said to be one of the earliest & most productive
regional breweries. For being in such a small town this is/was a big brewery and has a good
sized cellar system.
The brewery was falling apart inside and out, I really didnt bother with thew building I was just
after the cellar/ cave system, but I did take a quick look inside. The cellars were of a good size
and went in for a ways, the front half was brick lined and then it was unlined and took on more
of a cave or tunnel form, leading to a flooded section that looked like it has some depth to it.
From what I read some lucky bastard bought this place for $351, then a month after the guy
bought the brewery the city gave him a n order to raze & remove the building. I guess he won
because its still standing.
